At Felt Sense Psychotherapy & Somatic Coaching we take a whole body approach to healing trauma & reclaiming authenticity.

Our integrative treatment approach combines both top-down and bottom-up modalities to healing. Trauma is a somatic experience meaning it's experienced, stored, and relived in and through our bodies. So when healing from stress and trauma, the old "change your thoughts change your life" paradigm of traditional talk-therapy approaches just isn't quite enough.

Healing requires a felt sense of safety in your body and nervous system- it's not something you can simply think your way into.

Once safety is established, then we can get to work on expanding this inner sense of well being into other areas of your life, including the relationships you have with yourself, others, and the world around you.

Trauma makes it hard to feel safe in your body.

As a result, you end up feeling numb and disconnected. It’s like you’re never actually living in the present moment. You might find yourself constantly on edge, experiencing flashbacks, panic attacks, or feeling completely shut down and dissociated.

It feels like being on a roller coaster of endless ups and downs, never standing on solid ground.

You might have a hard time connecting with others, and it gets in the way of having healthy, stable relationships. Maybe you’ve been in talk-therapy before, but found you made little to no progress.

If you’re ready to get to the root of the problem, you’re in the right place.

Your body knows how to heal itself.

Our mission is to help restore, or establish for the first time, your body’s natural rhythm.

From this balanced and regulated place you will gain increased confidence, self-awareness, and self-acceptance that make living in the present moment not only possible, but pleasurable. These goals are accomplished through approaches that address the whole person in body, mind, and spirit.

On a personal note-

A woman sitting on a brown leather sofa in a well-lit, modern living room, smiling at the camera, surrounded by decorative pillows, indoor plants, and a standing light fixture.

I’m a Gemini sun and student of life with an insatiable thirst for learning. Watching the sun glisten off the water will always stop me in my tracks; I treasure the magic in the mundane.

After completing graduate school to become a therapist, I still felt unequipped to help treat trauma, so I became invested in digging deeper. Low and behold, the answers emerged not from within textbooks and classrooms but rather in my body and on my yoga mat.

Through becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher specializing in yoga for emotional health and healing, I began to understand the nervous system and how it’s intertwined into every aspect of our lives. With that, I saw myself through a new lens as well. Only then did it click for me that becoming a therapist wasn’t simply “a calling” like I had always thought, but also a way to resolve the stored stress I had unknowingly carried in my own body throughout my life.

My journey with somatic therapy, yoga, and psychedelics helped alleviate the depression and anxiety I experienced throughout my adult years, brought me closer to God, and helped me develop a more curious and compassionate relationship with myself, others, and the world around me.

Outside of my professional roles, I have my hands full as a homeschooling mother to two young children. I believe nature is our best co-regulator; when there’s an emotion that feels too big to hold, I trust in Mother Nature to hold it for me.

Supporting others on their healing journey makes me feel alive! I can’t wait to get in touch and help you access your own energy and vitality as well!
